Pilates + Yoga

Assessment

At anytime during your Pilates + Yoga journey,  you can attend a Pilates + Yoga Assessment.  This individual assessment, performed by our expert physiotherapists, identifies areas within your body that need focused attention during the classes.

  • Prior to starting your Mat Pilates and Yoga classes, we recommend a Pilates + Yoga Assessment, which will be performed by our expert physiotherapists. This individual assessment identifies areas within your body that need focused attention during the classes.

In this head-to-toe assessment, our physiotherapist will review your medical history and current injuries, assess your muscle flexibility, movement patterns and strength, and discuss your exercise goals. With your permission, your screening results will be confidentially shared with our instructors.  We can then tailor the exercises in each class to your specific goals, limitations and injuries.

Expert Guidance + Personal Attention

(Without the cost of a 1-on-1 Pilates session)

Our small group Pilates + Yoga classes are like no other classes around.  Our Mat Pilates classes are a fusion of a clinical Pilates session and mat-based exercise class designed to enhance your performance so you get the very best results. Throughout our classes, we use a variety of small equipment including Swiss balls, Barre, weights, foam rollers, sliding discs and resistance bands to ensure you're challenged during every class.

Plus, you'll always receive the attention you deserve from our caring, experienced instructors because we keep all classes limited to a maximum of 8 attendees. We have created a nurturing space in which you can exercise safely with intentional movement, allowing you room to breathe without feeling overcrowded.

Yoga: Class Styles

Suitable for all fitness levels

  • Yin Yoga is a nourishing, slow-paced class using a deeply meditative and restorative practice that teaches the nervous system how to release while promoting flexibility and joint mobility.

In a quiet, soothing environment, poses are held for 2-4 minutes to stretch and stress the body’s connective tissues and regulate the nervous system.

Therapeutic shapes are supported through the use of bolsters, blankets, straps and blocks, and a mindful breath practice is developed.

Reduce stress and ease anxiety by quieting your mind and finding calm.

Yin Yoga nurtures better rest, recovery and sleep for all.

  • Slow Flow is ideal for unwinding and recharging whilst building strength and mobility. This class is a mellow flow that cultivates awareness, movement and stability through slow, focused postures.

Slow Flow integrates skillful breath while quieting the mind and promoting healthy postural alignment.

The class includes mat work, mindfulness and a focus on relaxation.

Expect to be guided through a nurturing practice beginning with pranayama breathing techniques before transitioning through a sequence of dynamic postures. Depth and complexity are layered to lengthen and strengthen major muscle groups while also improving balance.

Breathe in the moment, let your body melt and find more balance in your day.
